This is a rotoscope animation created to promote the Let’s Play Ball message at the beginning of the baseball season for the Detroit Tigers.
It is truly a product of great team work, from figuring out the right story to tell, finding the perfect video footage, putting together the soundtrack, to planning the animation style and execution.
The rotoscope animation technique had intrigued me ever since I saw the movies “Waking Life” and “Scanner Darkly.” I can’t tell you how excited I was when I get the opportunity to collaborate with the Detroit Tigers’s team and the other designers from my department on this rotoscope animation.
